When our founders introduced the concept of Art Camp, I was so excited. We all were. Just the thought or Art Camp was "that sounds so fun!' The reality is that there will be much more to it than fun. The campers will be able to share what's already in their knowledge base and then add to it in whichever way they choose. So we went around asking the campers of our inaugural session, why?

"I heard about it (Art camp) from my wife Clare Sydlowski - she's in a critique group with Amber. I'm most excited about learning more about promoting myself online. I may have a little to add to the discussion- I'm on instructables (it's my job) and it's proven to be a great way to get myself out there. I guess I'm more curious about how to get this kind of publicity to translate to sales and gallery shows. Occasionally one of my projects will get picked up by a good news site, but I'd like to learn what it's like in the real world."
