Curated by George Franklin Haley III
Last night I visited ArtShare LA , downtown, where my friend George Franklin Haley III (@theehandsomebrothers) curated his first art show. It was 90's themed. I mean, how could I not support such a fabulous idea? I looked at all the art and smiled to myself, thinking about the wonderful memories triggered by these pieces. I feel like we, generation Y, are finally at the age where reminiscing is comfortable.
You know, back in the day when we worried Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski would break up because well, my happiness and future and hopes and dreams relied on their relationship lasting. Or when we wished we could have a group of friends and be as adventurous as Tommy Pickles and felt sorry for Chuckie all the time even though secretly he was our favorite. (Ok, maybe just mine.)
I just stood there and smiled. I was delighted to see now, what we saw then.
The gallery was fully equipped with a Dj, Nintendo 64, Twister & Hopscotch.
Here's to emerging artists and curators of LA!
